Emmy Awards, a maior premiação da televisão mundial, aconteceu neste domingo marcando a sua 72ª edição com apresentação por Jimmy Kimmel, sendo dividida em seis noites diferentes e realizada totalmente online devido a atual pandemia que o mundo se encontra.

O Creative Arts Emmy Awards, que premia aspectos técnicos das séries, aconteceu nas noites anteriores, entre os dias 14 e 17. A premiação principal teve início no dia 18 e com todas revelações nas principais categorias transmitidas no dia 20.

Entre os destaques na temporada de séries, minisséries e filmes para a TV tivemos: A sitcom Schitt’s Creek, do canal canadense Pop TV; Wathcmen, Euphoria e Succession, da HBO; The Mandalorian, do Disney+; The Morning Show, do Apple TV+; The Good Place, da NBC; além de The Crown e Stranger Things, da Netflix.
